The Role

Upon graduation from the academy, you'll join as a fully fledged member of the B2B sales team. Your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound sales calls to existing and new prospects 
  • Identifying, engaging and building relationships with key decision-makers via phone, email and LinkedIn
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPI's
  • Updating and cleansing the database and CRM system (Salesforce)

The Company - Inside Sales Lead

My client are listed in the top 100 tech companies to work for and are now looking for someone to head up the inside sales team. This is a fairly ambitous junior role as you will be the first hire into the inside sales team. You will then look to grow a team aroudn you, mentor, train and support them.  

Based out of the Surrey Technology Centre, they work within an incredible interesting sector of IOT (Internet of Things). Some of their clients include the likes of Costa Coffee, Shell & Philips. They also work closely with the Botswana Rhino Conservation and the work they do allows the protection of this endangered species. 

Their product has a host of uses from sectors such as Medical, Energy, Smart Vending, Payment Systems, EV Charging, Telematics and others. The product is all about unlocking the potential of the clients IOT and is a product that can literally help save lives, prevent theft and save ecosystems. It therefore makes it a much needed and amazing product to sell!

During COVID they have not struggled and instead are looking to really ramp up and grow their team.  

They are a young company, still very much in their start up state. They have however recently recieved £20M investment and another round of investment seems likely. 

This hire is one of the most important the company has ever made as the aim of the inside sales team will be to increase revenue by 60% 

What The Role Entails - Inside Sales Lead (Business Development Manager)

  • Reporting into the SVP of worldwide alliances, you’ll be responsible for growing an integral part of the Sales team and provide continuous mentorship for your team, as well as spearhead recruiting and onboarding efforts as needed working alongside Nick Gandhi from Prime for the recruitment
  • You will initially look to drive sales through the marketing team, cold calling warm leads and creating your own
  • You will look to book high value deals in with Regional sales managers and for any lower value deals, you can work on them on your own and close them
  • Once a deal is brought on you will account manage the client
  • Achieve revenue targets as an indivual and team
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leaders to execute on world-class inbound & outbound sales processes

  • Full Account Manager role. You will be given a portfolio of around 300 London based clients 
  • You will be doing plenty of client meetings due to the sector
  • This role is all about relationships. Once you enter a salon / spa, the owners will want to chat with you. You need to be willing to chat about anything to build the rapport and maintain the businesses
  • You will need to be patient and have a technical mind as the client base will struggle to use the product effectively. You need to be able to help
  • You will be tasked on upselling and conducting product demonstrations with clients to show them the different tech and help them understand the benefits
  • Manage the clients through the onboarding process, working alongside the new business team

What I am Looking For - Account Manager - Beauty

  • Sales experience is essential. You ideally need 2-3 years sales experience covering some account management 
  • I will consider experiences from a host of backgrounds however the best would be someone who has experience selling to spa's, salons or hairdressers - ideally in saas
  • A love for the beauty industry is essential given the client base. Your job is all about walking into and building relationships with owners of beauty locations
  • Having some tech savvy is important as you will be helping the clients use the most of the technology. The client base is not known for being tech users so this will need patience

This role is perfect for someone who has AM experience but wants a more interesting sector, or someone who has done the full 360 and no longer wants to do new business.
